Behind the Scenes: ALR Staff Panel 2.0 Is Live!

ALR has received a major behind-the-scenes upgrade! The newly redesigned Staff Panel makes managing renders, requests, announcements and community features easier than ever, laying the groundwork for some exciting improvements coming to the website.

Behind the Scenes: ALR Staff Panel 2.0 Is Live!

Not every ALR improvement happens on the public website. Sometimes, the biggest changes happen behind the scenes!

I've just finished a major redesign of the ALR Staff Panel, the system used to manage everything from the render archive and community requests to website content and announcements.

While this isn't something regular visitors will interact with directly, it's an important step towards making ALR easier to maintain, improve and expand.

🛠️ What's Changed?

The Staff Panel has been rebuilt around a much cleaner, more organised experience.

A Completely Redesigned Dashboard

The new dashboard brings together important information, recent activity and tasks requiring attention, making it easier to see what's happening across ALR at a glance.

Better Organisation

Render management, website settings, announcements, the mailing list and community tools now have their own clearly organised areas.

Improved Render Management

Managing the archive, uploading renders, reviewing requests and organising content is now easier to navigate, with related tools grouped together.

A Better Experience Across Devices

The entire interface has been refined for desktop, tablet and mobile, with improved navigation and layouts.

Built for the Future

The redesign also establishes a much stronger foundation for future features, without disrupting the systems already in place.

🧡 What Does This Mean for You?

Although these changes are mostly behind the scenes, they help me spend less time navigating and managing the website, and more time working on the things that matter to the community.

That means a smoother process for managing renders, handling requests, publishing announcements and keeping ALR moving forward.

🔮 What's Next?

This is just the first phase of a much larger development roadmap.

One of the next major improvements I'm planning is a Visual Website Editor, which will allow me to make changes to website sections, images, text and layouts directly from the Staff Panel.

I'm also planning:

  • Comments and reactions on ALR Updates.
  • Automatic Discord announcements when new updates are published.
  • Improved media management for website assets.
  • More automation and management tools to streamline future development.

These features are still planned and will be introduced progressively.

🚀 Building a Better ALR

ALR has grown considerably, and I want the tools behind it to grow alongside the website.

This update might not be as visible as a new homepage or a collection of renders, but it's an important milestone for the project's future.

As always, thank you for being part of the ALR community and supporting everything I'm building.

There's plenty more to come! 🧡
