Help Shape the Future of ALR
I've been exploring a fresh identity for ALR, and the new logo concepts have been shared with the community! From subtle refinements to completely new directions, your feedback and votes are helping shape the future look of the project.
I've been exploring a new visual identity for Apex Legends Renders, and rather than making the decision entirely on my own, I wanted the community to be part of the process.
A collection of logo concepts has been created and shared, exploring different directions for how ALR could look in the future.
Exploring a New Identity
ALR has grown considerably since the project started, and I've been looking at ways to make its branding feel more distinctive, professional and recognisable.
The goal is to develop something that feels connected to Apex Legends while giving ALR its own identity.
Throughout the design process, I've been exploring:
- Stronger Typography: Creating a recognisable ALR wordmark that works across different formats.
- Distinctive Symbols: Exploring icons and shapes that could represent ALR without relying entirely on text.
- A Refined Colour Palette: Building around ALR's established orange, black and white branding.
- Better Versatility: Making sure the identity works on the website, Discord, social media and other creative assets.
Some concepts are relatively subtle, while others explore a completely different visual direction.
Bringing the Community Into the Process
Rather than showing only one finished design, I shared the concepts with the ALR community and invited everyone to give their opinions.
The aim was to understand which ideas people connected with and which directions felt most appropriate for the project.
Community feedback helps highlight details I might otherwise overlook, from the overall shape of a logo to how readable it is at smaller sizes.
More Than Just a Logo
This isn't simply about replacing one image with another.
A strong visual identity helps bring together the different parts of ALR, from the website and render archive to Creator Tools, Discord and future projects.
The intention is to create something consistent that can grow alongside the platform.
Thank You for Your Feedback
Thank you to everyone who took the time to look through the concepts, share opinions and take part in the discussion.
It's been great seeing the community get involved in something that will help shape ALR's future.
I'll continue refining the direction based on the feedback received, with the goal of developing an identity that feels right for the project and the people who use it.
